Hi everyone :)
I would really appreciate some help...

I am running Windows 7 64bit and a ADSL modem and the latest version of FrostWire. I have a "Turbocharged" connection a VPN (recommended) by FrostWire, no Firewalls running, up to date Java and yet FrostWire is detecting a Firewall. I have never had a problem with this before up until a couple of months ago and its extremely frustrating!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

  • you should check the Windows Firewall settings.

If it's turned on, make sure it has FrostWire as one of the apps that's allowed to open connections.

If this is not the case, maybe you installed some sort of internet protection app or antivirus that might be acting as a firewall and you'd have to configure it to let FrostWire open connections.

If this is not the case, then I'd look at my wifi router or internet router configuration and check that my computer can make use of UPnP, which is a technology that allows ports to be mapped to the internal IP on the network meaning FrostWire wont be firewalled.
