Songs bug

Postby plow250 » Fri Jul 29, 2011 3:30 pm

Hello, new to the forums asnd new to frostwire, but i think i got the hang of her now ;)

i have one bug that i hope can either be diagnosed or identifyed so i know that my i-pod or i-tunes is not corrupted.

i have maybe 30 or so weird songs on my i-pod that i downloaded off of frostwire (suppossedly free or any risks) and was extra careful. i then uploaded the songs from frostwire to i-tunes and synced them to my i-pod. somehow, in that proccess, i have about 30-40 songs that if i play them on my i-pod, i click on the song, and it plays a random song with another random song title.

for example: i pick one song called flowers ( not really, just an example) and then it plays a song called butterflies and it is titled wasps........ it totally randomizes.

also, some of my songs have TOTALLY random "covers".... so if i have a song by the artist disturbed, a different cover may pop up from theory of a deadman, there a few songs/albums like that aswell......

whats really weird is that the song that seems corrupted on my i-pod is perfectly fine when i play it on i-tunes, or my frostwire library. whats wrong exactly? are the songs corrupted? is there something wrong with any accounts/i-pod? everytime i sync my i-tunes library (with all songs perfect, the way they shud b) to my i-pod, it shud go through with the exact way it is on my library... and its not.... it shud work like limewire, but ofcoarse that had to shut down.....

you can post in return, e-mail me, or PM me, just so someone can please give me an answer to whats going on or what,... ill even go in deeper explaination if needed...

suggestions? help?

thanks

I have just occasionally had the wrong album art show up. If the songs are playing in iTunes bit not in iPod I would be inclined first of all restore iPod. Totally erase and reset to factory settings. See how this goes ... unless of course you have songs on your ipod which you have nowhere else in which case you would need to use a reverse ipod loading program to get them back on your computer.

first of all thanks for the response ;)

anyways, so i should keep the good songs on my i-tunes (they are all good) and then clean sweep my i-pod so there is nothing on it, but default setings? then sync the songs that i lept in my library back into the i-pod?

how do i go about dsoing this lol.... not the tech wizard

Well I can only assume that your ipod is misbehaving, as sometimes happens, so the restore seems the best option.

When you pug it in and it shows up in itunes there is an option to restore on the devices > your iPod > summary tab. It is very simple and I think will then ask you to enter a name for the ipod ..like plow's ipod and try to sync your tunes library back to iPod. It never works for me since the size of my itunes library greatly excedes that of my ipod, and I need to choose what I want on the iPod, but you should find it straightforward. Any more questions, please ask.

I hope that solves the problem.
