Great breakdown COOTS on how windows users could join the peercommons network (Frostwire) but for most mac users are wondering how could i join the peercommons network also and what irc clients would work in my factor?

Colloquy is a good irc client for beginners or just for keepers after you get the hang of it :D

Here's a cool Screenshot: Image

The breakdown on how to get started with Colloquy:
1.To download Colloquy just pay a visit to http://colloquy.info/
2.Click on the downloads tab
3.Download the app where it says the latest build on 1/9/2009 can be downloaded here (6.98 MB).
4.Wait until the dmg download is finish and place it on your application folder
5.After you have placed it on your application folder open it by double click on it
6.A set up assistant is gonna ask you the information needed to connect to the peercommons server (Frostwire) *View image for further details* Image

After you put in all the information which is needed click on connect and get ready to have some fun!

Well one thing I have to say about Colloquy it lacks of power so maybe you would want a better client to handle a channel like #Lobby in peercommons (Frostwire)
A cool client for that type of business is X-Chat Aqua for a bit of a power increase

Here are some cool screenshots:
Image

Image

The details on how to get started with X-Chat Aqua:
1.Download the X-Chat Aqua dmg file from this url http://snipurl.com/xchataquaosx
2.Select Ok, Click on this url
3.After it finish downloading move the application to your application folder
4.Open the application by double clicking on it and setup the peercommons server (Frostwire) *view image for further details* Image

After you put in all the information which is needed click on hide details then connect and get ready to have some fun!
Yeah, Welcome
Welcome You, Hey
I am your big brother, What do I have to say to the kids?
Let go, life does get tough
No need to stress, Hold you back too much
Lets go I heard they found a solution, Where’ll you be for the Revolution?

Nice post, you guys!!

But what about us Linux users??? Clients like KDE's Konversation, and KVIrc! And good old Pidgin :)

Not to mention using WineHQ will allow you to run mIRC on any platform (you're in luck, E)

jmIrc - IRC MIDlet for mobile phones

jmIrc is a J2ME MIDlet allowing ie. cell phone owners to use IRC wirelessly. It should work on any device supporting MIDP 1.0 and also supports connecting through HTTP proxy server on phones that don't support the Java socket API.

This project started as a fork of Sverre Valskrå's WLIrc but eventually led to be a complete rewrite project. Its aim is to be as small and lightweight as possible still trying to maintain the ease of use and all needed features. At the same time it tries to be some kind of hybrid implementing all the most useful features from other clients.

"Really Impressed"

by xcrunner3 on August 15, 2009

Pros: Easy interface, more reliable (so far), extensive personalization options, more protocols

Cons: None so far
Summary: I've been using pidgin for the past I don't know how long, and I've loved how light it is and customizable. I also used a facebook plugin. I had tried earlier releases than Trillian, and at the time I picked Pidgin over Trillian. I decided to test out Astra and so far, I am not sorry. Trillian is now my default messaging service. Displaying your contacts in tiles is definitely a plus, now I'm able to fit all my contacts on the screen, without needing to scroll around.
