Windows Xp:
1. Open Control Panel.
2. Under Pick a category, click Add or Remove Programs.
3. In the Add or Remove Programs window, click Add or Remove Programs.
4. In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, click Set Program Access and Defaults.
5. In the Choose a configuration box, double-click Custom.
6. In the Choose a default media player area, click Windows Media Player, and then click OK.

Windows Vista:
1. Open Default Programs by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Default Programs.
2. Click Set your default programs.
3. In the Programs list, click Windows Media Player, and then click Choose defaults for this program.
4. Select the check boxes next to the file types that you want Windows Media Player to play by default.

I jumped the gun to early on this query and fed you wrong information isodoria sorry  but look a Persian!

They possibly actually wanted to make the files automatically be added to the Windows Media Player library.
If so...
For Windows XP:
1. Go to the WMP tools menu, then select Options.
2. Go to the Library tab (at the top of the window).
3. Click on the Monitor Folders button.
4. Click on the Advanced button at the bottom.
5. Click on the Add button.
6. Locate the folder your downloads are saved in and click ok.

That should do it. If you have Vista, I'd need to use another computer, so I hope you have XP for now. ;)
