Proxy Issues

Postby Scott1x » Sat Apr 28, 2012 12:22 am

On win7 5.3.5, when using a proxy, some request seem to leak the base IP. Using a torrent IP checker, the base IP is not shown, but there are other requests DHT(?) that are being routed through base IP and there is some activity towards the base IP. If FrostWire does not respond to incoming on the base IP, this would not be a problem, but out going is a real concern. Also, there is the the question of what is generating the incoming request?

Additionally, does DHT use the proxy settings? If not, and there is no provision to disable it, what would the purpose of a proxy be?

16800 is my FrostWire port on this machine.
