when searching for songs is there a way to look it up under ex:by just genre, artist, song...
basically is there a way to do a more advanced/refined way of searching??
if so how?

You are not limited to frostwire for searching for torrents. You can use google and all of the torrent search engines, like http://www.btmon.com/ and there are many others.

Entering a song or an artist will give results. The results will contain the artist name or the song title.

At present it is unlikely a genre search will provide many results, since torrents seldom contain the Genre name in their titles
