At the current level of development, monitoring the progress of any one file is a multi file selected torrent is not possible. Obviously, it can be coded, but I suspect the developers have other priorities, at the moment. I like FrostWire for the fact it is open source and there is real support behind it. There are a lot of features I hope are eventually included, single file start/stopping, priority order, etc.

I find that frostwire usually give me excellent download speed, too, and that is important to me. I like the fact that sharing can be trackerless, also. It seems to do a good job on DHT and PEX.

As I said, I likes TPB and Isohunt, though I do always try FrostWire search first.

Thanks for that feedback.

It's on our list to give you a more detailed view of the progress of the torrent and each individual file.

It's now been over a year since we became a full blown bittorrent client and we now how to bring all of this information to the user, we just have been fixing other issues that are a little more pressing.

It's in our list of things to answer to requests like the following in further releases:

- Detailed transfer information.
- Being able to add/remove trackers on an ongoing download (tricky)
- Allow for audio preview (we'll have to check if the starting pieces of the file you're downloading are there, might not work every time)
- And all of these https://bitbucket.org/frostwire/frostwi ... tatus=open

Feel free to report and add issues to that issue tracker.

That would be very useful!

-Detailed transfer information would be good.
-ability to add and remove trackers is rather redundant with DHT and PEX. It really doesn't help that much.
-Allow for audio preview - only useful on single downloads, and then by the time enough chunks download to sample the song, you could have it all.

Add to the wish list:
limit concurrent down loads and connections per torrent
Limit concurrent uploads and number of conections per torrent.
Just keep on making improvements and enhancing stability. It does seem to be going in the right direction.

Yes, you DO have them. They have NEVER worked on Win7.

I seem to recall that downloads did work at one time, but upload connections has never worked for me. That is one I tend to use heavily, too. I like to limit the number of upload streams so that I can at least provide some decent bandwidth to those connecting to me. If I get 40 or 50 connections NO ONE will get enough data to make it worth their while, and if I don't throttle uploads, my machine would be buried!

so, in your case, the one not working is the last configuration field "Number of upload slots per torrent" ?
No matter what you do, you always get 4?

At this time, neither are working. No matter what I put, they allocate as if there was no limit specified.
I simply pause torrents for downloading and start the next one when one finishes. I have no control over upload connections per torrent.

I finally bit the bullet and downloaded v5.3.8. However, once I seeded 609GB of videos (movies) I got a message that directed me to a website that wasn't there. I lost both the message and the link. Can I get some help here?

under tools>options>bittorent uncheck show torrent details page. You'll no longer see the summary. All you have to do is close it. It's only a web page.

Ok. I did that. Simple enough. But, why does it say 'recommended' (to be checked)? When should I see some traffic?

Many consider it a good idea to read reviews that about what you are about to download. You can do the same thing with the right button on a search item. I'd rather look before I download, if at all, rather than after I've made a selection.

It's one of those things. If you like it, turn it on. Personally, I have it off.

I'm getting the hang of this. Got my first download (from youtube)
