Does Frostwire for Android use connection encryption, and does it allow non-encrypted connections?

Any answers on this? Forced encryption not only has privacy benefits, but also prevents throttling from many ISPs. I always enable forced encryption on my desktop BitTorrent clients (qBittorrent, u torrent etc.) and would like the know what is going on behind the scenes here.

A better technique is to use a VPN, which offers all of the same benefits and insures privacy.
