Hi guys,
Here are some suggestions, in no particular order:
- Die Beauty: a full feature movie in Swedish, licensed under Creative Commons By-Nc-Sa, with subtitles files available in srt format for various languages. Those who liked Nasty Old People will probably like this drama which was also released on The Pirate Bay. Feel free to get in touch with Stina Bergman, the director, she's very friendly (at least that was the impression I got when I did some volunteer work on some subtitles, but I'm sure it wasn't just an impression). Official site, IMDB page.
- To Shoot an Elephant: An an eye witness account from The Gaza Strip. Urgent, insomniac, dirty, shuddering images from the only foreigners who decided and managed to stay embedded inside Gaza strip ambulances, with Palestinian civilians. Those who liked No Way Through which was mentioned on FrostClick will probably like this documentary released under Creative Commons By-Nc-Sa as well. Official site, IMDB page.
- Nightmares by Design from Severed Fifth: I always thought FrostClick lacked metal albums, and this one is a good opportunity to fill this gap. Nice thrash metal with a touch of NWOBHM, the second album from this one man band who happens to be Jono Bacon, a major Ubuntu GNU/Linux contributor. Both albums are released under Creative Commons By-Sa. If I were you, I would be nice to FrostWire users and offer the Ogg version
Official site.
PS: Just as a disclaimer, I'm not linked to any of these works, I just enjoyed them (and contributed subs to Die Beauty) and thought they would be appropriate on FrostClick/FrostWire.
