When there is a + sign in front of the port, it means that is an ssl connection. You may have to enable SSL within MIRC. I don't remember. If you go to dalnet, beginners channel, you could get help there.

That will be found under one of the mirc parameters.

According to the help screen:
If you click the system menu button in the top left hand corner of a window ie. the button you usually double-click to close a window, it will popup the usual system menu but with a few added functions (these vary depending on the type of window).

Not really. I hardly every use Mirc. I'd suggest going into one of the help channels and using the help screens, along with google to beat your way through it. I do have a lot more experience with frostwire than Mirc.

Putting what on MIRC? I don't understand your question.
MIRC is a communications program that allows you to connect to IRC servers. What do you want to "put" onto it?

To make a connection run faster, you need a good connection. You can try terminating and restarting, hoping you find a better path. You can connect to another server in the net, and you can try rebooting your computer and hoping that cleans up memory and makes thing run better.

I use server: chat.frostwire.com Port: 6667
I just tried it and connected w/no problem.

It would seem that the ssl connection is not functional anymore.

I gave bad information in the prior post. That WILL work, but the ssl connection is functional. To use it, you must install open ssl in the mirc program folder.
It can be obtained here:
http://www.mirc.com/downloads/openssl/o ... -setup.exe
That requires port +6697

mIRC will work as a free program. Last time I looked it was still only $20. It's a good program and worth every penny. Pay the money or choose one of the many free IRC clients available.
