Please Remove Porn

Postby autumnmagic » Tue Apr 18, 2006 10:24 pm

Hi and hello,
I noticed that when you type almost anything into this program, you get tones of pron names and porn files. this would be a wonderfull program if it were made available for everyone to use and enjoy, without all of this junk owing along with all other content. i know this is suposed to be a service that allows freedom in sharing files, but it just doesnt feel like freedom when eevry step you take in the program has a huge chunk of things that more or less take away someone's freedom to dislike porn or women being mistreated, or rape or the like. it's wonderfull to want to give everyone a chance to share with others all the things that make them happy, but when it hurts you or me or the world at large, it's just not freedom anymore, and it feels more like inprisonment. thanks alot for reading this, and i wish you all the best of luck.

We cannot remove any material from the network. That is an impossible task and it would be a bit like a double edged sword if we even could. You can filter most of the adult content out by enabling your adult content filter which can be found in your options. You can also create your own list of filtered words.

I dont know if you do this or not, but instead of searching in the "Any Type" category, try searching for your specific type. Audio, Video, Documents and Programs are all different types.

Hah, you do know that these files are not hosted by FrostWire right? These are files on other peoples computers. How about you send everyone an email on this network saying not to have porn in their shared directory. See how far that gets you.

using a text color that isn't the same as the default background tends to be useful in forums such as these...

I was bored so typed your nic into FrostWire search...you'll be pleased to learn, not a sausage appeared, (0) found on All files and filters off through my connections.

You could always use an Internet filter...Porn etc

Oh well BTW
Do you agree---yer right and phpbb staff never read private messages with phpadmin....and another thing, can you see PEBCAK with phpbbadmins.

That's exactly why I don't download movies. Porn and kiiddie porn is discusting. And sware at me all you want because I won't feel bad. Everyone likes what they like and people dont like certain things so live with it.
