Uploads taking up too much bitrate

Postby lucky junior » Sat Oct 21, 2006 11:37 am

Hi this is my first time on the forum. I am having problems when I am downloading files. It seems that the uploading bitrate is greater than my downloading bitrate, so sometimes it takes about 2 days to download a 400mb movie! Is there any way that i can stop or slow down other users downloading from my shared files? I hope my question makes sense.

You can change your number of upload slots & also how many uploads are allowed per person (tools > options > uploads > slots). Click Apply to save any changes within optons.

You can also change your upload & download bandwidth settings (tools > options > uploads & tools > options > downloads).

Have a read through the thread below (click on link). It's from a different forum & refers to LimeWire but the same principles apply for FW. The tips will help you to set up your FW for best performance.

Don't get confused between bandwidth & bitrate!
