Do you have Windows Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed? This can cause connection problems. There are a couple of patches you can get for this

Microsoft one
http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... %5d;884020

and another one
http://www.lvllord.de/?url=tools

That's really about all I can think of! If you're using SP2 give a patch a go (I use the MS one but a lot of people prefer the other one).

*to find out if you've got SP2 installed go Start > right click on My Computer > properties. In the General section you'll see a description of your OS & it will tell you if SP2's installed

If this doesn't work, and I really hope it does... I would suggest using your computer at a freinds house or a friends computer at your house just to be absolutely sure if its a computer problem (which I think it is) or a connection problem ... Just a thought

Ok try this... change your FW port to something in the range of 49152 - 65535 (for example port 64049). Remember to Apply to save the change. Also remember to change the port number within your Norton firewall setup.
Give LW time to connect after you've changed ports.

If it's still not connecting, try Bearshare Lite

See if another p2p app has the same problems!!

Post your problem on the forums at www.Technutopia.com, they have a special little program called Beardiag which will give them all sorts of usefull info, that will enable both them and the experts here to get you up and running.

As I suggested before, It would be worth checking if your computer/frostwire would work on a friends computer. I was going to make a suggestion similar to Cyberwraith's .. Norbies World offers good online help and might find something that's causing this.

You think were going to give up now? No way :)

I'm not a PC user so cannot suggest settings, but please let us know if you followed Cybrwraith's suggestion, or mine. These sites have helped a lot of people, and could well help you. ... one of them might find some item or setting that would otherwise have been overlooked.
