Frostwire for mobile platforms?

SVZSVZ
edited February 2009 in Desktop Feature Requests
Hey everyone, it's me asking the same question again:

I want to know if Frostwire will ever be available on mobile platforms such as Nokia's Series 60v3? Mobiles are getting faster internet access and much bigger memories! Any news on this topic?

  • I think I've heard of people running frostwire on their PSP, is this true?

About the Nokia Series, it'd be really cool, but I don't know if you'd like having p2p on your phone, specially for your battery life.

I think we'd have to build something from scratch when it comes to phones, it's a whole different game.
  • Seriously, I really don't care about the battery life. I always have a charger nearby. Please give it some thought. I really think it would be a blessing. I know it must cost u guys a bit of money to develop something like this, but I really think it would be worth the effort, time & money. So, please, if I can ask you nicely, think about it.

    Thank you

i do know of a project some people were trying to do to get frostwire on psp though the download speed sucks and its prob. never going to get anywhere...

frostwire for phones could work but like you said it'd have to be from scratch and also the download speed might be slow if you dont have 3G

maybe frostwire for PDA's and Smartphones would work...... :)
  • Well, if it runs java, frostwire should run :p
  • What it needs is a web interface, something just like uTorrent has (only with mobile browser support). This way you run it at home, as an always on service and access it from any client.

My mobile phone runs Java games so maybe it could be integrated into a game format.
  • Seriously guys, I really would not give a hoot if it drains more battery life! That is what battery chargers are there for!I use my phone mainly for internet applications & surfing! It only lasts me a day anyway!

I really think you should start looking into making a Frostwire app for mobile platforms! It really would be a blessing to have Frostwire completely mobile!Obviously it would be more for the higher end mobile phones!

Please guys, we really need this!
